The purpose
The MASS Partnership promotes a method producing highly bioactive honey with an MGO in excess of 800, for use against pathogens such as antibiotic-resistant superbugs.
The method involves implementing a layout of at least two different plant species in a plantation:
- One species yielding the nectar for highly bioactive honey
- The others to provide nutrients that will build up the bee health in readiness for the flowering season of the first species.
